Berlin Program

We are very proud to offer the chance to study German language and culture in an authentic setting as a part of the language requirement.

Berlin, one of the most exciting European cities provides a rich culture, a unique history and ample opportunities for formal and casual conversations.

In order to get a genuine taste of German everyday life and to practice the language, all students will stay with host families.

Our classes are scheduled from 10:00 am-1:00 pm Mondays-Thursdays. In addition to the intensive language instruction we will visit cultural and educational institutions, explore the city through guided tours and invite guest speakers.

Participating students need to be enrolled in Germ 130G in the fall semester (14 weeks/two classes per week). A total of 5 credits will be given for this course, including the Berlin experience.

Students may opt to enroll in Germ 250 in the fall semester, which is a German culture course (Berlin – Divided and United). This course is taught in English.
